The Declaration of Independence — a copy of which hangs behind my desk in my office — rightly affirms “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Notwithstanding the truth of these words, they would be merely aspirational if not for the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of the United States of America. Because of their noble sacrifice, we are able to truly live in a land where we are all free to worship as we choose, live as we choose, and pursue happiness however we choose to define it.
The Declaration of Independence would simply be words on a page, were it not written in the blood of patriots and heroes. To them, and those they left behind, we here at Gosnell, P.C. say thank you for your sacrifice. R.I.P.
